Replacement Transponder?

Hi

 

The remote locking key fob fell apart the other day and we didn't notice until too late that the transponder chip had fallen out and we couldn't start the car. Our spare key works fine but I'd like to get 2 keys working again. Does anyone know if you can just get a replacement transponder and have it programmed somewhere?

 

It's a T reg (which I think makes it a MK 1)

woodley,i would seriously go back get on your hands and knees with a magnifying glass and have another looksie m8,

you can get another transponder(iirc cheapest place is ebay?)but it will need reprogramming to your pats system by either fords VERY EXPENSIVE or a decent mobile locksmith which hopefully could be cheaper?
